My name is Pitoyo.

I like to capture moments of often overlooked lives of ordinary people and the places that surround them.

I always excited to create images that explore the world around me and to process them into a visual language.

Taking pictures is more than a way to prove something, for me taking picture is a way of reflection and understanding.

I agree with Henri Cartier-Bresson when he said:
“Photography is an immediate action; drawing a meditation. For me photography is to place head heart and eye along the same line of sight. It is a way of life.”

I am based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
